On Saturday my mom and dad brought Keagan's new bed-what else-a tractor bed. Now we are working on getting him to sleep in it. Before Keagan was born, I always said I would not let my kids sleep in the bed with us-but I did. From the time he was a baby we could put him in the bed with us and he would sleep great. Now he is 3 and is still sleeping with us. I thought him getting a tractor bed would be a very easy transition to get him sleeping in his own bed. Keagan has done really well. Saturday night my mom slept in the bed with him. Sunday night he slept with Cecil and I because I had a workshop on Monday and didn't want to be exhausted from trying to get him to sleep in it. Monday night he slept with us because he had gymnastics Tuesday morning and I didn't want him to be grouchy for that-I know, I know excuses, excuses, excuses. That is why he is 3 and was still sleeping with us. So Tuesday night was his first night. He did take a nap in it on Tuesday. We told him if he slept all night in his bed we would go to the store and get a new toy. It took him a while to fall asleep but he finally did. He came to our bedroom about 1:30 and I didn't want to cause a battle because he had done so well with going to bed. I am thinking we just need baby steps. He took his nap again on Wednesday in it. Last night I read him 2 books and then Cecil stayed in his room with him until he fell asleep. He slept until 5:00!!! I think the only reason he got up was because he had to go to the bathroom. I just let him come get in bed with us because I was afraid he wouldn't go back to sleep and I didn't want to be up that early. After we got up I took him to get a toy. He was very excited. I am thinking one of the reasons he slept so well last night was because we took him swimming yesterday at Cecil's aunts. Tonya we may have to come swimming everyday! He is in his bed right now taking a nap. He has actually done really well with sleeping it. Thanks Nana and Grandpa for the bed. You will have to excuse the mess in his room. We still need to get all the sports stuff taken down and the border off the walls. Aunt Heather-be on the look out for some John Deere stuff when you are at Canton :).
