Turkey Cupcakes

Monday night Keagan helped me make cupcakes. My kids at school were going to make a turkey out of the cupcake for a Thanksgiving treat, so I decided to make some extra cupcakes so Keagan could make some to take to the babysitter. He loves to help me cook anything, so he had a good time helping me.

Mixing the batter.

Pouring the batter into the cups.
Sitting on the bar icing the cupcakes.

Sticking in the cookie for the turkey's head.

Adding the feathers.

So proud of his turkey.
I did the eyes and the wattle to save a big mess.
We hope everyone has a happy Thanksgiving.

Our Afternoon and Evenings

Cecil and his dad started harvesting maize about 2 weeks ago. About half of their cotton got hailed out, so they replanted maize. Their maize isn't ready to be harvested, so they have been cutting some other farmer's maize. Here is how Keagan and I spend our afternoon and evening: Around 4:30 I pick Keagan up from the babysitter. Then I take him to the field to ride with Cecil. I go home and make supper for Cecil. (If you have any suggestions of things I can make him I would love them. I can only take him sandwich type things, because he keeps harvesting while he eats). After I get supper made, I take it back to the field and get Keagan. We go home and have supper. Then it is time for me to give him a shower and get him ready for bed. Then we do the same thing again when I pick him up the next day.

Potsey's combine.

Climbing up. He can go up and down the steps all by himself. He is not real confident coming down, but has no trouble going up.

Almost made it!

Standing by "his" seat.

Sitting by dad, ready to ride.

My two boys.
One day when I picked Keagan up, he told me he wanted me to ride with him. After we got on and Cecil started going, Keagan kept telling me I needed to go back to the car because he didn't have a seat. He didn't like that I was sitting in his chair and he had to sit in my lap.
I have to brag about my little boy. He can recognize his first letter-"P". If I wear a t-shirt that has letters on it, he will point to each one and ask me what they are. He has picked up the letter "p" from me doing that. He can recognize it on various things-shirts, Apple Jack box, etc. Ok, I know enough bragging. I guess it is the teacher in me that makes me excited. Now we will have to work on his name.

Trick or Treating-Finally

I am just now getting around to posting some pictures of Keagan trick or treating. I thought I had taken more pictures than I did. We had planned to take Keagan to the Science Spectrum to the carnival they were having, but after we pulled in the parking lot, we quickly changed our minds. There were a ton of people there, and I wasn't sure how much Keagan would be able to do, so we just went back on Saturday morning for him to play. Here are a few of the pictures I took:

Getting ready to go in Aunt Sherri and Unlce Randy's house.

Looking at the treat from Grandma and PaPa.

Telling Grandma thanks.

Standing by the scarecrow at Aunt Melissia and Unlce Joe's.

Not wanting to say cheese.

Much happier without his ears and trunk on.

I plan to post some pictures later this week of how our day goes after I pick Keagan up from the babysitter.
