Our Cruise

Here is a run down of our trip or you can just skip down and look at the three different slideshows of pictures.

After Keagan opened his presents on Christmas morning we drove to Abilene and picked up my mom and dad. Then we drove to Dallas (actually Kaufman) and had Christmas with Heather and Joey and spent the night. We got up the next day and drove to Galveston and spent the night. On Saturday the 27th we boarded the ship and headed to Cozumel. We left around 4:00 p.m. Keagan woke up that morning with a stomach bug so he was not feeling well. After we set sail, I started not feeling well. I think it was a combination of the bug and a little sea sick. The next day after lunch Keagan started feeling better. We were at sea all day on the 28th. There were shows, Bingo games, and many other activities to keep us busy. On the 29th we arrived at Cozumel. Keagan, Cecil, and I went to Chankanaab Park to meet the dolphins. We stood in waist deep water and learned many things about dolphins. Then each person in the group got to kiss and recieve a kiss from the dolphin as well as shake his fins. When we were finished there, we took a taxi back to Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville to meet the rest of the family. After eating we drove around Cozumel, bought souveniers, and then got back on the ship. We left Cozumel about 5:00 and sailed to Progreso. We arrived about 9:00 the next morning. Cecil, Keagan, my mom, dad, and I took a tour of the city. We saw some salt flats, Mayan ruins, and went to a private beach. Then we went back downtown to catch a bus back to the pier. Before we got on the ship, we did some more shopping. We left Progreso about 5:00 and sailed all night and the next day (we celebrated New Year's on the ship). We arrived back at Galveston around 8:00 New Year's morning. We all had a lot of fun. Thanks so much to my mom and dad for everything.

Polar Express

The Thursday before Christmas Keagan got to go on the Polar Express. Cecil was still stripping cotton so my aunt went with us. The kids got to wear their pajamas. We got on the train and the conductor came and punched everyone's ticket. As we headed to the North Pole, they played the story of Polar Express. They also served us hot chocolate and cookies. Once we got to the North Pole, Santa and his elves got on the train with us. The elves talked to everyone and sang songs while the kids waited for Santa to bring them a bell. Keagan had a really good time.
