Keagan and I went to Abilene this weekend for a family reunion. Keagan had fun seeing Heather and Joey and playing with his cousins.

Petting Zoo
My mom has been here this week keeping Keagan while I have been at workshops for school. Yesterday we took him to a petting zoo that was set up at one of the libraries. It wasn't great, but Keagan loved the animals.
His rash has almost completly cleared up. When he is out in the sun, he gets red again. He has not been itching and has been sleeping at night!!!

Fifth Disease
We found out yesterday Keagan has FIFTH DISEASE. Last Monday he got a mosquito bite on his right arm. It got really red and swollen from his wrist to his elbow. We took him Wednesday night to the clinic that is downstairs from his pediatrician. The doctor at the clinic told us it was an allergic reaction to the bite. He gave him an antibiotic. On Friday, he left arm was red. It looked and felt like he had a sunburn. At times it was not as red or hot. His cheeks were the same way. On Saturday his legs from his knees up started getting hot and red. I started to take him back to the clinic since it was getting worse, but I decided to wait until Monday so he could see his doctor. She gave him some Allegra to help with the itching. He doesn't itch much during the day, but he does a lot at night when he is sleeping. He has not slept well the past 3 or 4 nights. It could take 1 to 3 weeks for the rash to heal completely. He is already looking better. The pictures are from Sunday. They don't show how red he really was. The flash on my camera kept making him look white. These were the best I could get.

Pictures
He said he wanted some milk. Before I knew it, he was in the fridge trying to get some. He thinks he can open the door and get in and get whatever he wants. (Sorry he is only in his underwear. This is how he likes to be when we are at home.)
Reading is one of his favorite things to do. He has more books than we can read but he chooses to read the same ones over and over and over! Research says that is really good for thier brains, but it is not good for mommy and daddy.
POTTY TRAINING UPDATE: He continues to do very well. I think now that I am able to be home with him is helping. Yesterday he went poop in the potty for the first time. He also went again today. Now we have to work on him going when we are not at home. I don't think he is real comfortable with that yet.
